Perfumer and brand founder Jo Malone lent her own hand into the creation of Dark Amber & Ginger Lily, an oriental woody fragrance that derives its complexity from its blend of spicy, woody, amber, smoky and balsamic accords. It opens with its top piquant notes of black cardamom, ginger and pink pepper. After this perky yet nuanced introduction, the heady floral middle notes of jasmine, orchid, water lily and rose come into bloom.
